The RealPresence Group 300 takes up very little space yet it provides high-quality videoconferencing for a conference room setting. The most important feature is ease-of-use. HDMI connectivity screams of easy but the user interface quietly makes the user experience a non-technical one; where their entire focus remains on their meeting and not the equipment.

Polycom Group 300 Base Unit
The Polycom RealPresence Group Series 300 HD video conference system, which currently sells at a list price of $6,999, is a single-point, HD 720p, videoconferencing system. This unit is complete with the Polycom Group 300 HD codec, HD EagleEye camera, HD microphone, Remote and necessary cables. People+Content Software is installed.

The RPG 300 codec is so small, 11"x5"x1", that it can be hidden away and out of view, with all your cable attachments, while the camera mounts neatly on a shelf above your monitor or projection screen. Unless you are performing remote surgery or using the system to design the next Mars rocket, 720p is what is recommended. 1080p requires a lot of bandwidth and with that need come additional problems with firewalls, networks (especially MPLS networks), and operating costs.

RPG 300 Connectivity One HDMI video output is activated to allow for easy connection to a monitor or projector. A second HDMI connection may be activated via purchase of a Second Monitor option key. The EagleEye HD 1080p camera connects on a HDCI connection. Content can be shown at resolutions up to HD 1920x1080 with many options along the way.

Group Series 1080p HD License
The RPG 300-1080 package includes all of the RPG 300 components plus the 1080p software option with a 1080p EagleEye PTZ camera too. 1080 encode/decode for people & content. The 1080p Software Option Key can be purchased separately.

Group Series Dual Display License
The RPG 300-720 with Dual Display package includes all of the RPG 300 components plus the Dual Display software option with a 1080p EagleEye PTZ camera too. Enables 2nd monitor output (HDMI). Valid for Group 300 or 310 only. The Dual Display Software Option Key can be purchased separately.
